“Bogotá only has one hotel on the list, like Medellín. In the Aburrá Valley, there’s only El Cielo Hotel, while in the capital, there’s  Casa Legado, located at Carrera 8 #69-60, in Chapinero.

The general manager of the Bogotá hotel, Helena Dávila, mentioned the unique qualities of her property, making it one of the nine recognized by the Michelin Guide. “We’re really the only boutique hotel in Bogotá. We’re not like Cartagena, where 280 compete. We have very little similar competition,” she stated.

Dávila also outlined the hotel’s expectations following its inclusion on the list. “I think if there’s an increase, it could be around 15% or 20%. If there’s anything above that, then it’s extraordinary,” she emphasized. She also noted that the difference in her accommodations isn’t based on the luxury experience, but on the warmth of her staff.

“What we sell isn’t the plan you come here to do, but the people you come to meet. The best thing about Colombia is its people. We’re so loving, even though we Bogotá residents are colder. But what people say when they leave the hotel every single time is: ‘It felt like family; no one has treated me the same,'” she asserted.
