For the first time, nine Colombian hotels have been included in the Michelin Guide, the global benchmark for the sector. Among them is Casa Legado, located in Bogotá and managed by Helena Dávila, which received this recognition as a “collective achievement” and a “milestone for national tourism.”
Just as Michelin stars are awarded to restaurants for their exceptional cuisine, the Michelin Keys are a hotel classification system that recognizes the most exceptional accommodations for their experience, attention, authenticity, facilities, and, in general, their service.
This year, Colombia was included in the Michelin Guide for the first time with nine hotels located in different areas of the country. Seven of them received one key and two others received two keys.
“The achievements are collective. Having nine Colombian hotels receive Michelin Keys is a huge thing for the country,” says Helena Dávila, general manager of Casa Legado, one of the accommodations that received this recognition.
